Registration email field not storing

Hi there,

I’m using EE4.9.13

We’ve just noticed a problem with the email field of the registrations.
We have a user with an email address with an apostrophe included, this email will not save in the email field of the contact for each registration, but no error message is given, we get just a green contact saved message, but the email does not save.

Joebloggs@nospam.com works but JoeD’bloggs@nospam.com does not.

the user concerned has used an alternative email address so it’s not a major problem for us, but it would be great if this could be looked into …..

Hey Chris,

Can you tell me what you have set for the email validation level setting, which is located in the Event Espresso > Registration Form > Settings tab of the WP admin?

Hi Seth,

I didn’t even know that setting existed! It is set to wordpress default.

Try changing the setting to “International”
