I have a question regarding my set-up. The situation is following: my client organises markets, fairs and such. Stand holders can sign in to one or more of those markets or fairs. My client has a rather fixed number of stand holders.
My client wants stand holders to register once so they can sign in to market or fair events using their login. How can I set up Event Espresso so that stand holders can register as ‘member’ and subsequently sign in to member-only market and fair events?
WP User Integration (members) is the addon you will need. It is currently only available for EE3, though if you are using EE4, you may be able to simply use a membership plugin (that system isn’t perfect though).
More info about the WP User Integration addon can be found here:
Thanks for the reply. I have the addon already in place (I use EE3) but it still adds registering to each single event. Is it possible to use the WP User Integration addon to just register without actually signing up for an event?
Sorry, to clarify, you want member only events? Or something else?
EE does not handle site registration (users) only event registrations (attendees). With that addon you can set it so only logged in users can access some or all events.
Okay. Can I adjust it so that when users are logged in (through the addon) they only have to enter ‘username’ and ’email address’ to sign up for an event?
no, the user will still need to enter a name (first and last) and email. However, so long as these are filled in on there profile and they are logged in, the info will be pre-populated for them.
