We just upgraded to EE4 and I want to ask what the best way to go about handling multiple event registrations with a discounted price is now. This site basically has one event per month which people can sign up for. We have a package where they can sign up for six months (6 events from when they sign up) for a discounted price (cheaper than doing six events individually). Or 12 months same kind of deal. Is there a way to do that.
In EE3 I had to setup a special event with the discounted price and whenever people paid for that I’d have to enter them into the individual monthly event manually. Upgrading to EE4 seems to have broken that.
Any help in how to do this in EE4 or a workaround would be much appreciated.
The client’s site is fullmoonpriestess.com and this is the event page: http://www.fullmoonpriestess.com/event-registration/
thanks
Colin
Not currently as EE4’s discount system is still being developed. If it was just tickets within an event, then you could have done it (like a bulk discount) by setting a ticket for a minimum/maximum number and setting it at a different price. (e.g. min/max 1 = $20/ticket, min/max 2 = $18/ticket, min/max 3 = $16/ticket, etc)
With your set up that needs a discount for multiple events it just currently isn’t possible.
In theory you could swap your events into a single event and keep adding tickets representing an event, as new events occur. In practice this is likely to become unwieldy very quickly.
