Hi, I have searched for a solution to this and the only answer I could find was here:

but this didn’t really help.
My question is the same – want people to able to register for our conferences with a reduced rate for couples. I am not so worried about having the details of the second person but would like for the back end system to show married couples as 2 attendees rather than one. (So I don’t have to go through and manually count the different registration types.)
We have several ticket pricing categories – adults, students, concession etc and married couples.
The suggested solution to give group discount may work but I am not sure how to only apply that if the people registering are a couple rather than if it is just multiple adults registering at the same time.

Hi Ben,
EE3 doesn’t handle this sort of use case elegantly. The research you have done is pretty much the only way to achieve it, barring custom development.
EE4 should be able to handle this better as you can set a specific ticket type that will add 2 registrants at a set price (https://eventespresso.com/wiki/create-ticket-bundle/)
I would recommend giving EE4 a test drive over at http://demoee.org
Setting a discount may indeed work, buit as you pointed out it will apply that discount to multiple entries within the event.
The only way around that would be to have each ticket type as a separate event, which obviously isn’t ideal.
