The documentation for the Recurring Events Drop-down Template is rather sparse, and I’m trying to figure out how to limit the results to just the events that are currently OPEN for registration. I don’t want to show the events that you can’t register for yet.

I allow registration for events up to about 2 months in advance, and I hold each event about once a month. So, at any given time, you should only be able to see 2 (maybe 3) recurrances for an event.

You can see the live form here:

I figured out how to do it by using a “limit=16” (I have 8 events, so 16 out is about 2 months.)

Part of my trouble was that the link to the documentation for the Recurring Events Drop-Down Tempalte takes you right to the anchor for that page and I didn’t realize that all the content at the top of that page applied to this plugin as well.

Additionally, it is not clear, IMHO, that you need to have the Custom Template Add On for Recurring Events Drop-Down template to work. That would be useful information to put in the documentation, as well as in the plugin description (that you can see in WordPress after you install/activate the plugin).

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the feedback. I’ll add a note where applicable to advise that the base plugin is needed.
