I am exploring the possibility of implementing a room booking system using EE. My idea is that there would be two kinds of bookings:
1. One off bookings that need to be paid for in advance and which can be booked by the public.
2. A combination of recurring bookings (weekly time slots) and one off bookings by registered users that will be invoiced at the end of the month.
2) More difficult depending on how you want to do it. If they are group bookings, i.e each monday in a month, you could set up a table or similar set up and use one of the shortcodes to add the events on one go. Nothing to stop a user removing an event though, and each event requires the registration, so may look a little funny.
Of course you would be using WP User Integration here to filter out the public. I would also look into modifying the payment templates to add in the event category at least or a meta field or there might even be a variable that tells that this is a member only event. With that you could either use PHP or jQuery to hide the none invoice payment option (I havent tested this, just an idea).
So it *could* be possible, but might not be how you want it exactly, at least not without some custom development.
