Hello Everyone!

We offer live and online EVents for teachers, and most payments will be coming in the form of purchase orders from school districts. As they are government agencies, they have departments and contacts that generate purchase orders, and process invoices. I need to be able to:

1. Collect specific purchase order number, contact name and information so that I can chase them more easily for our money.
2. Be able to register large groups of teachers under one Purchase Order

Could you please tell me the best way to approach this?

I really appreciate the help,

Bill

Hi William,

The purchase order number is obtained at the time of “payment” or finalisation.

To get further contact info I would suggest creating a question group with specific question (e.g Contact name) and marking them as required.

Regarding your large group of teachers, any bulk/group registrations will still go under one payment. The main thing you need to consider is how you want to obtain the information.

By default setting group registration to yes, it will ask for the Personal Information of each additional attendee (name and email). You can set this to no information or to full information (basic questions plus any other selected question groups).

Thanks so much for getting back to me. I created a question group called Purchase Order and applied it. But I am using two choices for payment – Paypal and Purchase Order. I only need these questions to be required if the payee is using a purchase order. Is there a way to do this?

Hi William,

We don’t have any form of conditional logic for the questions/gateways. There isn’t an elegant way to do exactly what you are after.

1) Simply add a description to the purchase order question group and ask the users to fill in as needed. Problem here is that it wont be conditionally required.

2) Add a required question to the Primary attendee, that says something like “Are you paying by PayPal or purchase order”. Then with CSS hide the necessary question group. Then with javascript if the user clicks the purchase order answer, reveal the additional questions and add a required class to them (you cant have them required initially as they will only be hidden so will block the registration if the user picks the PayPal answer, as they cant see the questions to answer them).

3) As number 2, but instead of hiding things, make the “Are you paying by PayPal or purchase order” question simply make the additional postal order questions required (add the required class).
