Hi there,
I’d like to create a promotional code that is only active when someone buys 2 or more tickets, essentially a “Buy 1 get 1 free” offer.

Normally I’d use the “Volume Discounts” add on, but I’ve already got a 20% global coupon running on the site and the two of them running together creates the wrong result.

Is there any way I can do this?

You can do it, it’s just a matter of how much work it’s going to be. I would do it as a post-save attendee hook function along the lines of what I did here. You would need the function to check for whether the conditions exist for the discount to apply and if so, apply it. It’s one of those situations where to write a general tool to apply to all the different scenarios that could be thrown at it would be very time consuming to code. But if you want a specific tool that applies to just this particular situation, it’s fairly easy to code.
