Hi all,

We need help on how to print ticket on a custom paper size. For your information, our event officers will print the tickets for all the participants on a custom paper. What we need to print is only the name of the participant, barcode & QR code on a paper that has already been previously printed with the design.
Here is the ticket design along with the dimension in centimeters: https://www.dropbox.com/s/2fykspp3298btmd/KEPLEK%20BETHANY%20CONFERENCE%202015.jpg?dl=0

We have tried to create a custom html & css for the design :

But the problem is, the ticket will always be printed as an A4 paper size. We have tried to adjust with the precentation scale on the browser print preview but of course it will not produce the exact size that we need.

Any help would be appreciated

thanks,

Joanne

Hi,

Have you tried using mm (millimetres) as your width/padding/margin measurements?

Using those will make it easier to get a more exact sizing. The only issue is that this should work great for printing, but may look weird on some devices such as phones.

Hi Dean,

Thank you for your reply. I’ve tried to arrange the size in millimeters and it does work for printing, although I didn’d get the exact sizing, for example 730mm will be 800mm on the printed version.
Another problem is I need to rezise the barcode so it will be fitted with the design. Current size will proceed the barcode box in the design like this : https://www.dropbox.com/s/aaqc8qenn2t41ay/tiket%20copy.jpg?dl=0

Could you give me advice on how to resize the barcode? I’ve tried to change the W attribute value in the shortcode but apparently the W attribute is used to arrange the distance between the bars.

Thanks for your help 🙂

Hi,

The millimetre measurements, should be quite exact, but as with everything web based, there’s always room for differences. Maybe check your padding/margins are also in mm?

The barcodes cannot be resized due to how they are generated and the amount of data they hold, The only option I could see would be to swap to a QR code as they are smaller, but your scanner may not be able to scan that.
