I have an event where I need to manually add attendees. I have entered the price correctly. I have tested two methods and the confirmation email on one shows the price as $0.00 and one shows the correct price.

Method 1:
When I add the attendee manually using the WordPress Event Espresso backend (Event Espresso > Event Overview > choose the event > Attendees > Add Attendee), the price shows $0.00.

Method 2:
When I enter my information in as if I was a person registering for the event online, the price shows correctly.

I’m assuming they are both pulling from the same “price” so why are they showing differently on the confirmation emails depending if the admin adds the attendee or the attendee registers themselves online?

This is not urgent as my current workaround is that I just use the online page to enter the attendee data instead of the WordPress backend.

Thank you!

Hi,

When adding via the admin, did you set a Amount Paid value? If not then you will need to as otherwise it assumes the user will have already paid which is why they are being added from the backend.

Hey Dean,

That was it! When I entered the price paid, the correct price popped up on the confirmation email.

I suppose I have a weird scenario. I was setting up a private event for one customer. They just sent me a spreadsheet of attendees so I was handling loading them up online versus them entering each name individually. However, this customer has not paid yet (we give them up to 4 weeks to send in payment) so I didn’t want them flagged as paid in the system.

Now that I know how this works, I will either load them up on the front end website or understand that I need to enter the price paid and then go back and delete the payment so it doesn’t show paid.

Either way, now that I understand what is happening, that is what matters!

Thank you as always for your speedy response!
