Hi,
I know there have been other posts about this in the past, but I am inquiring again in hopes that something has been added since so many have asked for this feature. Is there an option to prevent duplicate registrations for an event (hopefully by validating email address)? This would be SO helpful – if it can’t be an included feature, is there any chance an add-on could be developed? We are finding that this is happening a lot when we send out reminders about our events – people who already registered awhile back register again. There isn’t a way for them to know that they already registered. Please help!
If there is no add-on or feature addition planned, is there any chance you could give advice about how to code this feature myself? Where in the code would be the right place to put this check, and is there a fairly easy way to do that? I am familiar with PHP/MySQL, but I don’t want to add code that would get lost or break something upon upgrade in the future.
