Hi, I have noted that Event Espresso does have plugins for selection of workshops and such, but I was wondering if EE4 could also allow editing of those selections at a later stage?

The way we do events currently is to have them pay for the conference first and then select the workshops they would like to attend later. We are just wondering if it would be possible to continue this practice completely by EE4.

Thanks!

Hi Ross,

It depends on the set up. If the workshops are tickets (due to capacity restrictions for example), then no, EE4 cannot currently modify tickets, a new registration would be required.

If it’s just answers to questions, then yes you can modify the attendees and change their question answers from the admin, and the customer can modify their answers as well from the front end via an edit link sent in their email.

Thanks for your quick response Dean. Let’s go the second route and ask attendees to answer questions. Is it possible for us to:

1) Add questions after they have purchased the ticket? In this scenario, we are having them purchase a ticket but have no questions yet. We will then send them an email later with questions for them to answer.

2) Modify questions after they have purchased the ticket? Similar to above, but editing a question instead of adding one.

Again, thanks for your very helpful responses.

Hi,

1) Yes, but perhaps not the way you envision it. You can add questions to an event and they will appear in the attendee editor screen, but they will also appear on the front end. So to enable what you are trying to do you would have to add the questions after the registration in closed.

2) The question or the answer? Both are possible, but modifying the question will affect all attendees and the front end registration form.

Thanks so much Dean, we were looking at the flexibility of the system. Sounds great. We will be in touch soon on purchasing a license and other such things to get this moving.
