Hi, we’re running EE 4.6 and found out that the auto redirect with paypal only works for us when the user pays with a paypal account, but not with a credit card. This is a problem because we’re sure it will result in a lot of accidentally abandoned transactions. do you have a fix for it? thanks!
Have you checked your PayPal auto return settings?
In PayPal, go to Profile then ‘Website Payment Preferences’.
Within those settings you will find Auto Return, ensure that is enabled.
Regarding abandoned transactions, we implemented (roughly EE 4.6.8) a system that will check abandoned transactions at various stages, looking for confirmation from PayPal that the payment was made, it will then auto update the status. This can be as quick as a minute afterwards or several hours, depending upon circumstances.
If you are on the latest version of EE4, and the transactions are staying as abandoned, let’s say 24 hours after payment, please let us know.
