Hi there, I have EE 3.1.35.1.P installed on a client’s website with WordPress 3.6.1. We have been having paypal IPN notifications failing and my client complained after I updated – I think previously we had been using 3.0.19.P.41 with modifications to add an event image.

Anyway, In order to try to find the problem, I created a new wordpress and latest stock EE install on my personal site http://www.bellsandy.com/life and the paypal confirmation worked great – it even worked after I duplicated her database on my site. I did a clean wordpress and EE install on my client’s server (http://www.art-by-you.com) hoping to repeat the success, but the paypal IPN status is failing. On her site it doesn’t even enter paypal as the attendee’s method of payment. Her hosting is with inmotion, mine is with godaddy, so it leads me to believe it’s a server setting issue but I need help figuring out what specifically is the problem. Both sites have similar results with the requirements check plugin.

Oh, I forgot to mention that I had this problem with my client’s EE so I commented out the described code. Activating the paypal gateway broke the payment settings page: https://eventespresso.com/topic/payment-settings-page-blank/page/2/

But I did not have to do this on my personal site to get the paypal payment to activate and refresh the payment settings page.

I tried to walk through a registration on her site, but the recaptcha is breaking the registration page. “To use reCAPTCHA you must get an API key from https://www.google.com/recaptcha/admin/create”. Either enter a recaptcha api key or disable the recaptcha feature.

Sorry, forgot to fill that in with the new install. Should be updated with key info.

Ok, It seems to go through on art-by-you but it does not show complete when you first return from paypal. If you refresh the thank you page in IE it shows complete. In FF right now I am getting “We are unable to validate your information. Please try again.” from paypal.

Oddly it’s working now after a restart. Weird. Sorry to have wasted your time. I thought for sure I had done something wrong.
