I know that customers can use a major credit card, rather than a PayPal account, when taken to the PayPal website. But customers don’t know that. Even when it’s mentioned on the PayPal website, they don’t necessarily see that option.
I’d like customers to know that that’s an option a step or two earlier than that. I’d like them to know it when they’re choosing between PayPal, Check (“Cheque”) or Invoice. Because, with this list displayed as it is, they have no idea that they can pay with a major credit card.
Can this currently be accomplished in EE4? If not, can you make that change in an update?

Hi John,
You can add this information to the Description section in Event Espresso > Payment Methods > PayPal Standard > Description field.

You could also upload a different PayPal logo icon that includes the various card logos, there’s a selection available here if you want something pre-made: https://developer.paypal.com/docs/classic/api/buttons/

Hi, Dean. I already have this in my Description field:
After clicking “Finalize Registration,” you will be forwarded to PayPal to make your payment. There you will have a choice between paying with a major credit card or a PayPal account. Make sure you return to this site in order to properly finalize your registration.
That only helps the few people who read each and every word of every message on a website, which amounts to a total of three people (sorry, I’m exaggerating, but you get my meaning). People want to get through the process as fast as they can, so they miss such messages.
But a different logo, showing the various credit card logos, that’s exactly what I want. Thanks for the solution, Dean. (I’ll close this discussion.)
