Before I switch event calendars again, will EE work for this? If so, what version and what add-ons do I need? Current version of WordPress, Theme Blvd based theme.

Reference calendar: http://creativelyuncorked.com/public-event-calendar/

Features I need to keep:
There are 3 categories of events.
The class sizes are limited, each class is a different size.
Sold Out is displayed on sold out events.
Registration is through PayPal.
Each event is a different cost.
Each event is a different location and needs a map.
Grid style calendar with images on each day.

Features I’d like to keep:
Coupon codes.
Easy export of registration list per class.

VERY IMPORTANT!! Features the current calendar does not have but I need:
Mobile responsive.
It needs to be on my site – not an iframe.
Easy checkout process.

Hi,

Thanks for your interest in Event Espresso.

I believe that both Event Espresso 3 and 4 would fit your needs here, though I would generally recommend using EE4 as it only has one aspect out of your list (coupons) that it doesn’t yet cover.

The best thing you can probably do is to check out our demo of Event Espresso 4 (and calendar addon) over at http://demoee.org.

That way you can get a first hand feel for what’s available.

There are 3 categories of events.
Not a problem, the calendar can either show all categories, a single category or your visitors can use a dropdown filter to filter whats shown (by category and venue)

The class sizes are limited, each class is a different size.
Each event can have a capacity set to it. EE4 can even set a capacity for each ticket type.

Sold Out is displayed on sold out events.
A sold out event is marked as such on the single event page (EE4 will also show it on the event list page). It is shown on the calendar but only when hovered over.

Registration is through PayPal.
PayPal is available yes, along with numerous other gateways.

Each event is a different cost.
Not a problem

Each event is a different location and needs a map.
We use a system where venues are created and then assigned to the event. A Google Map can be shown as well.

Grid style calendar with images on each day.
The example calendar you showed uses a similar structure to ours.

Coupon codes.
In EE3 yes. Not currently available in EE4 but we are working on it.

Easy export of registration list per class.
Export to spreadsheet is available.

Mobile responsive.
Yes, though you will lose images on the calendar on smaller devices.

It needs to be on my site – not an iframe.
No iframes used, the calendar is an addon plugin for the core Event Espresso plugin, it’s all on your site.

Easy checkout process.
We believe it is a strightforward registration process.
