Our site was hacked and Event Espresso compromised so we can’t do a database migration to another server. We are having to rebuild manually. I am trying to export all of our event and attendee data, but we are having a problem as not all data is exported.
Old Server WordPress Version: 3.5.1
Old Event Espresso Version: 3.1.21.P
New Server WordPress Version: 3.8.1
New Event Espresso Version: 3.1.36.5.P
Version 3.1.21.P is quite old, and unfortunately, between then and now the database has changed.
I looked at the oldest version I can find but I cannot seem to find the version that bridged the gap between that database structure and the more modern one.
One way to resolve this would be to download the sample import file (Event Overview > Import Events > click the sample file link) and port over the old export to the new one in a spreadsheet program
It shouldn’t take too long as it’s merely a matter of copying and pasting into the right columns (take care not to modify the column headers!)
Other than that it would involve finding the “bridge” version, installing that importing to that and exporting from it, so you can import into the latest version. I think they copy and paste would be quicker.
Please, if possible, try to keep up to date with the new versions. While we try not to modify things in a way that will break them, as you can see occasionally it does occur.
