Not receiving confirmation emails

Wordpress v3.7.1
Event Espresso v3.1.35.L
Recently upgraded
Site is online but registration page is password protected.

I have a registration form set up and attendee information is collected successfully but no confirmation emails are sent. I’ve followed the instructions on the FAQ and I’ve also clicked on the “Resend Registration Details” button in the Attendee List, it responds with “Resending email to attendee” but no email is actually sent.

After over an hour of trying to figure it out, I’m at a standstill. My client is not pleased.

I would sincerely appreciate your help. Pretty please!

Hi Holly,

Mail failure is often server related as we just use the standard wp_mail() function.

Have you:

Checked the spam folders?

Seen if other emails can be sent from your site (the Check Email plugin is useful here http://wordpress.org/plugins/check-email/)

You could try a plugin such as WP SMTP Mail to see if that can assist.

If all those fail you could try a third party service such as Mandrill or Postmarkapp to assist with the mail service.

Thanks for the quick reply. I just tested it using the Check Email plugin and it was able to successfully send emails.

Hi,

If the system is sending the emails then I would suggest trying the WP SMTP Mail plugin, this has helped a lot of users out in the past.
