Attendee can check out with more than one event. If I click on one attendee and select additional attendees, I am brought to a page with only 3 questions (first name, last name, and email). Second event has the same required fields as the first one and they can’t check out without the questions being filled. The questions and the answers have vanished. When I view table with adminer, I still can only see 3 fields on the secondary record. How do I get Multiple Event Configured so that  1) User can select more than one cart and 2) Questions can be the same or different in the carts and 3) Admin person can see the answers on the additional attendee.

Hello Andy,

Apologies for the delay in responding.

I am a little confused by your questions. Your events seem to only allow one attendee to be registered per event, as such there cannot be additional attendees. If this is not the case please provide a link to an event where I can register more than one attendee.

1) More than one cart. There is only one cart, and your system seems to be set up quite correctly to enable users to add multiple events to the cart.

2) By default the Primary attendees will be asked for the Personal Information (name and email) and if selected the either the Address details, custom questions or both. The Additional attendees by default require no data, but this can be changed on a per event basis to allow the same as the Primary attendee, though you can select different question groups for additional attendees if they need to answer different questions.

3) The answers can be found in by selecting the individual attendee (Event Overview, hover over and event, click attendees, then click the name of the attendee) or by exporting the Attendee data to spreadsheet.

Dean,

I’ll clarify. By more than one cart, I should have written more than 1 event. The user can put multiple events in their cart. Each event has required questions. Users can select different answers for the questions. When the user checks out, we receive an “Event Registration Notification” that has the answers to all of the questions from the primary event. If they’ve selected more than one event, we only receive three answers in the second group of information within this “Event Registration”. It just has first name, last name, and email. None of the questions/answers from event 2 are carrying forward.  They are asked, but we don’t receive the information.

When I click on an attendee with more that checked out with more than 1 event, it will always take me to one event. Events are classes and I can’t select “Test Person” with morning class and “Test Person” with afternoon class. I will always get one event’s data. I can’t see if they picked different classes in the afternoon than the morning because I only see one set of questions. When I export the information to excel, I just receive blanks. It is all missing, even though they are required fields. Thoughts?

OK, thank you for the clarification.

I can’t see any issues from the front end, the requirement check is working as far as I can see.

Is it possible to get your login details in order to look into this?

If so, please send them via https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

NOTE: login details need to be Admin level.

I need to take some advice on this, so I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Hi Andy,

OK, so the way MER is set up is that the first attendee is set up as a primary attendee in the system and the others are marked as attached to that attendee. Therefore when selecting any attendee, it will take you to that first one with a list of the attached attendees to the right.

When clicking those it should show the full attendee questions, but as you rightly point out it isnt.

I will get a developer ticket raised to look into resolving the questions not appearing.

I know that with the next major iteration of Event Espresso, the way that attendees are dealt with is changed, but I will make a ticket to make sure that this issue is looked into.
