I’m using the latest version of EE3. I was wondering if there is a way to add a single event with multiple dates/times so that the user can register once.
For example, let’s say we’re going to have a workshop and it will be on each Saturday for the next 4 weeks. We’d like the user to register for that event and provide payment once, rather than creating 4 separate events where they’d have to buy each one.
Assuming that the events cannot be purchased separately you could simply create an event with dates for the first Saturday and mention in the description that this will be for XYZ Saturdays.
If you are using the Calendar, then you will run into an issue in that it will only show up on one date or if you give the last Saturday as the end date it will show up as a 4 week block.
You can work around that by creating 3 other events one for each Saturday and use the Alternate Registration URL to point to the first Saturday events url. Only one event to register to, but looks like 4 separate events on the calendar.
EE4 makes this a LOT easier for both registering, capacity management and the calendar by using datetimes.
If you are looking to sell the events individually as well, and capacity tracking is important, then you would have to set them up individually. You could use Multiple Event Registration (MER) and add a shortcode link to each description to allow them to add all 4 to cart at once (https://eventespresso.com/wiki/shortcodes-template-variables/#add-to-cart).
MER also allows them to fill out one form and copy their details to the rest. They will still receive separate emails though.
