I have a club that has 7 dinners a year. We charge $25 to attend as a member of the club and $35 for guests. I currently don’t make members log into my site first to register. In order to keep people honest I only allow 1 member price per registration. Yes if they want to do multiple registrations they could cheat the system and register their guest as a member.
My question is: Can I give a member a unique identifier and only allows that identifier to be used once but multiple identifiers can be used in a single registration?
We want to allow several members to register with a single transaction but want a way to verify that they are members.
The only way I can see that working is with the WP User Integration addon and by having the members registered as site users and logged in when registering.
That way you can set a specific capability to the user role (a third party roles and capabilities plugin is needed for this). This capability can be added to a ticket so only users with that capability can purchase the ticket.
