Good Morning.

I apologize upfront if this list of questions is longer than normal.

I’m hosting a car show next year and I am looking for the following info.

I would like for people to purchase their show car registration tickets in a couple of formats:
A= Car show ticket for Saturday ($10)
B= Car show ticket for Sunday ($10)
C= Car show ticket for Both Days ($20)

Total tickets per day are 900, so 1800 in total.
Is it possible if a person picks Saturday that the total number of tickets show drops by the count of 1 and if they pick both days that it drops by the count of 2?

The reducing ticket count must match the total ticket count for that day.

I am also looking for the ability to manually add car show registrants in the EE control panel and also that they paid, as the main online payment will be via paypal but if people send their registrations forms in with a check, that it can be added. To add to that, if I do add them manually, can the ticket be emailed/printed along with the corresponding barcode so it can be scanned on the day of the show when they drive in.

On the form itself, I’d also like to have it so that not only do they have to enter their name , address and email etc, but also, Make, Model and car info.

Also, I see EE3 and EE4, which one would be best to handle this, along with the bar code scanning and printable attendees list.

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for your interest in Event Espresso.

Regarding the tickets, yes this is possible in EE4. That version has capacity levels for both tickets and datetimes. What I would do is add two datetimes and apply a ticket to each, that way you can reduce each set of date times accordingly. Add a third ticket and apply it to both and it will reduce both datetimes down.

Adding attendees and payment types via the admin is fine, emails can be sent when added that way as well (they should go by default unless you deselect a tickbox).

Forms allow for custom questions.

I would recommend EE4 for all of this (you can test drive it for free over at http://demoee.org).

However, EE4s scanning system is still being built. It is available with barcode scanning but requires EE4.5 (beta currently). Also there is no mobile app yet so an actual bar code scanner would be needed – https://eventespresso.com/wiki/barcode-scanner-add-on/ – but these are fairly cheap to buy.
