after installing and activating EE4 on a plain WordPress installation, everything worked fine for me. When I try to activate EE4 on the dev-version of an existing WordPress-Project where I actually want to use it, I always get the following error:
We can't load the page because we're missing a valid page object that tells us what to load DMN-DMNPGNT-SETPAGDEP-210
I am furthermore unable to access the wp-admin area then and I have to manually deactivate EE4 (delete the folder from my plugin folder and manually reset the plugins in the database).
Do you have any suggestions on how to fix this issue?
Thank you!
Sorry for the trouble you’re having. While I haven’t seen that issue before, it is one of our error messages.
Was the message you posted above the full error message? Looking at the code there should be more information after it.
It’s possible that the installation didn’t go correctly. Have you tried re-downloading the plugin (to make sure it isn’t corrupt) and re-installing it?
If you do and it breaks again, please don’t delete the folder, merely rename it to disable the plugin. Then check to see if the following directory exists:
Thank you for your quick response!
A re-installation did not work and the directory exists. I just found a workaround for my problem: Since I am using a WordPress network with multiple subsites, I activated EE4 on the Network-Level for all subsites which now worked.
But I actually just want to have it on one site, would be great if there was a way to achieve this.
For test-cases, I also installed the free EE3 Lite Version and installed it on another dev-installation of my website. EE3 Lite did not have any problems with the activation on a Single-Site level in a WordPress Network…
Cheers!
Thanks for the feedback on how you got it to work. I will take a further look into the multisite aspect and feed the results back to the developers.
