Hello EE,

First of all, my congratulations with your Birthday.

I read about a coming add-on which will users provide the ability to submit events from the front-end. This sounds great since I’m planning a cultural-event-agenda website were registered user (event-managers) can add their own events. I consider to use EE for this.

Because there will be paid options as well, I need some flexibility with respect to membership administration. Afaik, EE is not intended for this (correct me if I’m wrong).

Question:
which membership plugin would you recommend to integrate with EE, and can you point me into a direction how to implement this?

Thanks, Ronald

Hi Ronald,

Thank you for your birthday wishes!

Membership plugin wise, well there are a fair number of plugins available both premium and free. We use S2Member here to deal with our membership, it is very powerful but also a fair large learning curve and potentially overkill for some sites. I personally like Justin Tadlocks Members plugin as its quite lightweight.

Some further reading for you – http://chrislema.com/comparing-wordpress-membership-plugins/

There isnt really need to integrate as such they deal with separate aspects, or did you have something specific in mind?
