I am looking for a very specific sign up solution. Can Event Espresso handle the task I have at hand?
I need a sign up form that collects information on the user that signs up for the class. The info that needs to be collected is First and Last Name, Company Name, Phone number and Email Address.
In this form we also want users to select a date and time for one of our scheduled class times. We envision a drop down list of some sort, that allows the user to pick the class they wish to attend. However each class only has a limited amount of seats, so once a class is full it needs to either be dynamically removed from the list or marked as full.

We also need the class roster emailed to the event coordinator, if reminder emails can be sent out to the registrants that would be great but not entirely necessary.

At the moment our classes are free, so a payment gateway is not yet needed but we may want the option in the future.

Will Event Espresso work for the specific need that we have? So far I am not finding anything that fits the bill. Really hoping you might be the solution.

Hi Jennifer,

Thanks for your interest in Event Espresso.

I think that EE4 can handle most of what you would like, though in a slightly different way.

(You can testdrive EE4 for free over at http://demoee.org)

How it works, is that the events are created and, by default, listed in a format similar to standard WordPress posts.

The person will select an event, choose the number of tickets and then fill out a registration form – first & last names and email are a requirement, other questions can be very easily added.

Capacity can be set for an event in several ways (capacity per date time or per ticket or a combination of both) and once reached the event will be marked as sold out and registration will close.

The events can be listed in a table format via the EE4 Events Table View Template – https://eventespresso.com/product/eea-events-table-view-template/

The class roster is perhaps the only sticking point: currently there isn’t a way to send a list like that. We are working on a front end attendee list shortcode that could be used (for example, by adding it to a password protected page the event co-ordinator can access). It isn’t ready yet but it is being worked on.

Events can be marked as free, of course, and once you wish to charge for events there are several payment gateways included with the core plugin and several that can be purchased as addons.

See here for a list of available gateways https://eventespresso.com/features/payment-options/ (please remember to click the EE4 Gateways tab as the gateways are different for EE3 and EE4).

Let me know if you have any further questions or need further clarification, and please do give EE4 a testdrive (http://demoee.org).
