Hi Torbjorn,

Do you/anyone know if there is a Klarna gateway up and running on any Event Espresso installation?

Never heard of the gateway to be honest, it is definitely not one we support. If there has been any third party creations it hasn’t come to our attention.

If there is no gateway, what would be the best approach for coding one? Could you help?

Well, you could take one of the existing gateways and use that as a template to code up the Klarna gateway. Or you could hire a third party developer or hire us (see below).

If you could code a gateway what is the estimated cost and timeframe?

Estimated cost is $1000+. The $1000 is good for 10 hours of development time which is usually enough to create a gateway. However, if there are issues it may extend beyond those ten hours and incur further costs, though this is quite rare, especially if we can get hold of English documentation and access to test credentials.

Time frame might be the problem. It takes on average of 4-6 weeks to produce, sometimes quicker, but we are not taking on much/any custom work currently. You would be best to fill out our request form here and the sales/developement team can give you a better outline on this

Lets say that i hire you to code a gateway will it be updated when 4.0(arabica) is released.

When 4.0 is released, only a select few gateways will be supported to begin with, we will roll out the rest over an unspecified period of time. We are giving clients the choice of coding for 3.1 or 4.0 currently. So if you wanted it ASAP, code for 3.1 but if time can be strteched it might be better to look for it to be coded for 4.0 (in my opinion).
