Hello, we need to place a Buy Tickets link in an event description that uses another service for an event. The JS goes in fine and when I view the event, the JS buttons shows up as it should, but I must be logged in as admin when viewing it. If I log out to check how visitors will see it, the JS in the event description is rendered as text and doesn’t work.

How can I have the JS be rendered as JS in the event description?

(Your forum software isn’t letting me put the JS in here.)

Hi,

In general WordPress and Event Espresso (and our forum) will not allow JavaScript that can run. If you add it within PRE tags for instance then that’s usually accepted as it is not running.

This is for security reasons.

There are ways around this: http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Javascript#JavaScript_in_Posts or you could use a plugin of some kind (neither of these options has been tested with EE, and we do sanitise events aggressively).
