Hi,

We are running ee4 with the wp-users plugin.
If a customer buys a ticket and a wp user account is made for them will any subsequent ticket sales be associated with their account, even if they don’t log in before they buy the ticket?
Also, if an admin creates a transaction and sells a ticket to a wordpress user, will that transaction be joined to the wp-user’s account, or will it create a new contact / user record?
We really want to have a complete list of a users transaction history, but would that happen if the user bought tickets through an admin and through the front-end website?
Thanks

Hi there,

Yes, if a customer is logged in on subsequent visits, then those ticket sales will be associated with with their WordPress user account. For this to work, the customer must be logged in.

I don’t think we have a way to associate user accounts when registering attendees via the admin. I think this is something an experienced WordPress developer could integrate for you.

Basically, anytime you want to track user access/data in WordPress, it’s best that the user is logged in. You could bypass this requirement by using a plugin called, “User Switching” to quickly switch (while logged in as an admin user) to another user account and purchase tickets on that user’s behalf.

Does that make sense?

Please let us know if you have further questions.
