Installing EE4 together with the live version of EE3

Hey,

i would like to upgrade my EE3 but this needs time. is it possible to activate EE4 in the same site, while EE3 is live. Then I would have time to upgrade all my themes and stuff, while having no off-time of EE3.

could you help me?

Hi,

It is not possible to run EE3 and EE4 concurrently on the same site. EE4 shares some named functions with EE3 so a fatal error will occur if you activate it at the same time.

I would recommend creating a clone of your site locally or on a test server and testing EE4 out there.
