How to display event excerpt ONLY

Hi,

How can i display an event excerpt ONLY. When i use the the_excerpt(); function, it display ALL the event details instead of just the excerpt. I just want the excerpt without the other information.

I already have the other information like date/time, venue, etc displayed using customized theme.

Is there a special filter that can help me archive this?

Hi,

Found a solution, used get_the_excerpt() which returns only the excerpt.

If you have a better way, please share, otherwise, I’m marking this topic as solved.
