Good morning, because of a client customization we edit the plugin files :/
We just published the client website and now but I want disable the Automatic update of the EE4 before add the product key. If this automatic update will break our changes. We need to it manually.

I added at functions.php
add_filter('pre_site_transient_update_plugins','remove_core_updates');

But I still having the top WordPress alert for automatic update.
An automatic update for Event Espresso is available but your Support License Key has not been set. For EE3+ users, please go to the Event Espresso General Settings page to set your Support License Key. For EE4+ users, please go to the Your Organization Settings page. You can locate your Support License Key from your account on the Event Espresso website.

Thank you

Hi,

The automatic update is not automatic, in that it still requires the admin to click the update button.

As such, adding your key will not over write the changes.

I would still recommend making sure you a have back up of the modified plugin just in case something does happen (such as an over zealous admin, clicking all the update buttons).
