I have a development site with EE4 loaded. I don’t want to use my support key on this site as it will not be the live site.
Now the ee$ plug-in is out of date and I am getting an “auto draft” bug that seems to have been fixed in a later release.
I have a current support contract and so I downloaded the latest zip file.
how do I apply this to my development site? I can’t use auto update because of no support key and i don’t want to lose all my existing setting/events/venues.
Many thanks for your help,
Simon
The easiest way to do it is to deactivate EE4, delete the plugin and then go to Plugins > Add New > click the Upload button > find and select the zip file you down loaded > click ok > after upload click activate.
All event data and settings are stored in the database so you will not lose them.
If you have made any modifications to the EE plugin files then these will be lost, so you will need to copy them first.
Thanks, Dean. I hadn’t realised that the data was kept when the plug-in was deleted. This has all worked fine. Thanks for your help.
