PLease could you tell me if the following is possible with EE?
I want to create a website where users can submit their own events – and as part of this process add a new venue during the submission process. These users would be paid subscribers and hence this front end user submission would not be publicly available?
As part of this – users would be able to log-in and edit/ delete only their own events.
The payment side of things for these users could be handled separately outside of EE. I would just like the ability to register such users myself, give them login details to a front end page (rather than the dashboard) and allow them to submit their own events.
I have seen the roles and permissions plugin but am not sure if the above is possible with this.
We have the Roles and Permissions plugin which can allow a user to create their own events, edit them and manage attendees (amongst many other features)
Both the Basic and Pro version will be required as Pro has the features, but requires Basic to run.
However, they can only create/edit from the dashboard.
We also have another plugin which is in Beta and available to licence holders called Front End Manager. This will allow any logged in user to create a basic event from the front end. This does allow venue creation as well.
Front End Manager does NOT allow users to edit/delete created events.
User registration for the website is not generally handled by Event Espresso so you will likely need to use either the default WordPress registration system or a third party membership plugin.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
