There are no events listed in my Event Overview, even though I can see them on the calendar. All of the events are in the past, but they should still show, correct?

No. I’m not seeing the events in the admin panel – does this shortcode affect viewing events there? I use EE on another website and have never used this shortcode, but still see past and present events in admin.
We recently changed the default on the filter in the admin, so that by default only current events are shown. If you change it from “Active” to “show Active/Inactive” you will see all your events.
Sorry, I thought you were talking about your event list on the frontend.
