When selecting a bunch of ‘NO RECIPIENT” messages, and using “Generate and Send All” the screen returns with a “nonce fail”

Events do not update. Screen eventually lands back on a “Page List”. Event was not updated.

Site has been very slow and hard to manage. Any suggestions where I should start to get this going again?

Thanks.

Also, I am noticing that my server process manager ranges from 150% to 200% in CPU use, when I try to a bulk action to “Generate and send now” on just two messages I get “https://www.iclega-attend.org/wp-admin/admin.php?s=” and a blank white screen.

The user gets stuck in the transaction as well with a spinning gear.

What steps should be take to untangle this?

Avoid these plugins:
User Blocker
WP Rollback
Yost Duplicate Post

Do you folks have any suggestions for replacements for the above which are not resource hogs?

Hi,

You are on the right track, kindly check your memory allocation on your server. We usually recommend 256mb to 512mb of server memory.

Here are our recommendations:
– User blocking can be done via the .htaccess file by blocking the user IP address using server tools
– Whenever someone visits the site, all files are scanned and some are loaded into the server memory which could slow down the site

Have a look at those things we’ve mentioned and let us know if you still are having the same issues.

Thanks!
Hazel

I really like the Yost duplicate post function to quickly spin up different types of programs (events)… what do your guys do when there are several types of events which are different structurally enough to where they actually need special layouts?

Hi,

You can still use “Yoast Duplicate Post”. I can’t see that being a massive resource hog slowing your site down. It should only be doing the majority of it’s processing when you click the button to copy.

When you say “types of events which are different structurally enough to where they actually need special layouts”, do you mean the front end or something within the admin? If you could provide a screenshot of that, it would be very helpful.

If, by any chance you meant the front end layout then you’ll need custom theme templates for events. Then select those on the specific events in question.

We currently have three different styles of events:

  • Canned (we call these “webcast”)
  • Live (in person)
  • Livestream (as in actually streamed through Vimeo in real time at the time of event)

Each of these are similar, but have significant different fields that need to show and canned text which also differs with instruction, etc.

How do I go about getting a direct introduction in creating these custom theme templates for eventespresso events? are there some generic layouts I can somehow copy in and then go work on them?
