We are using Infusionsoft and whenever Event Espresso puts someone into the system, they have a “non-marketable email address” meaning they are not confirmed and we can’t send confirmations to them. Is there a setting or something we are missing? Any help is greatly appreciated. If we use Event Espresso and we can’t email the clients after they’ve purchase, then it seems pretty pointless. Thanks!

For right now, you can select the contacts in the IS admin panel and update their email status all at once to opt-in. http://ug.infusionsoft.com/article/AA-01234/0/Opt-in-or-opt-out-multiple-email-addresses-at-once.html
I know automatic opt-in is something that has been asked about before. I’ll see what I can dig up.

Thanks, anything more with this? Would be nice not to have to do that.

I talked with our developer who is working on the EE4 IS add-on, and he pointed out that the EE3 IS add-on already does an optIn call on the contact right after creating it. In espresso-infusionsoft/index.php on line 127. I would set up some logging there to try to find out exactly what is going on. I like this function for targeted logging for debugging: https://gist.github.com/sidharrell/7d606ee09f9da58b1d7c You might want to adjust the location it is writing to, though.
