Hi there,
I’m trying to get a list of events to show a basic list of event details on my homepage (showing these parameters start_date, end_date, event_name, venue_title, city) however i can’t even get the shortcode to function.

I’ve deactivated plugins and switched theme, but nothing makes a difference.
Hoping you can please help, as i’m getting more than a little frustrated with EE at present.
I don’t want to reinvent the wheel, just add a list of events and a city location. Note too that [event-list] doesn’t work either.

Hi there, shortcode now working (must have been a caching issue or something?).
My next head scratcher is how to make the parameters (start_date, end_date, event_name, venue_title, city, state…) actually do anything.
Do i need to add parameters to the above? e.g whether i keep or remove end_date from the shortcode the finish time/date remains.
Similarly “city” shows the whole address (and map).
If there is any other settings that need to accompany the parameters, could you please advise, as it’s a complete guessing-game at present.

All okay for the moment. It wasn’t very clear in the description that the parameters only refer to positioning of existing content.
