Hi,

We have a client who sometimes allows people to pay less than the advertised course/event cost (journalists etc) and processes the registration/sale manually. The issue is they can’t set the Transaction status manually to Complete as its not seeing the payment for the ticket as being the same amount.

Is there a way to manually change the transaction status to complete? Or is there a way to create a ticket thats not shown on the booking pages (i.e to the general public) at a lesser price and use that instead?

Thanks

Hi,

Is there a way to manually change the transaction status to complete?

In EE4, there is no Completed status, rather it is Approved.

When adding a registrant manually via the admin, once addeed, you can use the Apply Payment button to add a payment amount, you can set the status there by changing the Change Registration Status dropdown. Screenshot http://take.ms/YLcps

Or is there a way to create a ticket thats not shown on the booking pages (i.e to the general public) at a lesser price and use that instead?

That’s an interesting idea, but it currently is not possible to do.

Hi Dean,

Thanks for your reply but I asked how I can manually change the transaction status not the registration status. If someone pays less than the allowed amount by having a manually added transaction (say a client allows someone in a special case to pay by CC over the phone or invoice for a lesser discounted amount but does not want the public to have access to these tickets) then its important for the workflow to enable setting the transaction status as completed.

Hi,

Applying a Payment and marking the Change Registration Status as approved will mark the transaction as Completed.

Hi Dean,

No actually it doesn’t. We have registrations that are marked as approved yet where the payment amount differs from the ticket amount it shows the transaction as incomplete. There are as I said originally situations where a client pays less as they get a discount. There is no way to apply a discount (as any tickets that we set even at a discounted rate would be public) to the ticket so unless there is and I have missed it how can we mark the transaction as complete even if they have paid less?

Thanks

Transactions are “Completed” or “Incomplete”, etc.
Registrations are “Approved”, “Pending Payment”, etc.
You cannot mark a Transaction as “Completed” without the total payments reaching the cost of the ticket.
You can, however, mark the Registration as “Approved”. In the Registration admin page, click on the button marked “Approved” below “Change status to:”.
