Hi,

All of my attendees’ information have been wiped clean, together with the questions I created. Also missing are the captcha api keys, both in event espresso and in recaptcha. The tickets are also missing.

The events still exist, and I did not reset the data.

My question is, did I just get hit with an SQL injection, or did the related tables simply got truncated due to too many records?

Hi,

Well I cannot say for sure what it is based on the information provided, but I doubt that it is due to too many records.

We have test sites with over 4000 attendees, and have never come across a table being randomly wiped.

Hi,

The installation had 9000 attendees with 20 questions.

Hi,

That’s a fair number of attendees, but it still should not do what has happened.

Are you using shared hosting or a VPS or dedicated server?

Have you spoken to your host and/or checked your error logs to see if anything is shown?

I assume that not all the settings have been wiped? The information your have mentioned is held in different tables.

“Also missing are the captcha api keys, both in event espresso and in recaptcha.”

Recaptcha here being a separate plugin?
