Hi. I’m testing the EE4 calendar. Although I’ve put a excerpt in the event details page, and the archive shows just the except as expected, I wonder if it’s possible to show only the excerpt in the calendar popup as well. Currently, the popup shows the full description which is rather too long.

Hi,

The “display short descriptions” feature set in Event Espresso>Template settings should be switched on. Be sure to use the tag in the event description itself, to separate the short description from the entire event description.

Thanks Dean. So I shouldn’t bother with the ‘excerpt’, just use the ‘read more’ tag in the event description?

Yep, that’s the most foolproof way.
