Hello,
I am using EE3 for my event MomoCon. So far it has worked well, but definitely has some of the features I see EE4 has that I would love to upgrade to. There is also a perfect transition period coming up, our event is May 23rd – 25th, and on the 25th we will switch over to registration for 2015’s event. This would be the perfect time to switch to EE4.
I need to know one thing, will the ticketing addon be ready for EE4 before the MomoCon 2015 reg goes live on May 25th? This is an absolutely essential feature and is the only thing holding me from upgrading. If not what are my options for migrating without screwing things up?

Hi,
While we can’t give timescales for add on completion, I am confident it will NOT be ready by the 25th May 2014. The ticleting taddon is fairly complex and needs to be re-written from scratch to work with EE4.
IF you still want to migrate from EE3 to EE4, first of all back up your site. This will give you a restore point should things somehow go wrong.
After that it’s simply a case of deactivating EE3 and installing and activating EE4. EE4 will run you through the migration process.
If possible run the migration on a test server first, so you know what you are expecting when doing it on the live server.
