Hello.
I installed the EE4_Decaf version onto a fresh wordpress site, hosted on my Gearhost windows cloudsite.
I tested it for a couple of days and all was working so I purchased a license for EE4 and the template addons.
I upgraded the site, and all data appeared to remain intact.
When I went to create a second event, I began getting this error.
The number of inputs on this page has been exceeded. You cannot add anymore items (i.e. tickets, datetimes, custom fields) on this page because of your servers PHP “max_input_vars” setting.
I checked in the system information and this is what is displayed
environment
php
max_input_vars
version 5.3.8
There is no value for the max_input_vars.
I completely uninstalled Evet Expresso, deleting all databases to see if it was an issue with the upgrade. No go.
I have reinstalled EE4 without the addons and am still having the issue.
I have followed the Gearhost recomendations for adding custom PHP variables.
It is strange that the Decaf version worked with no issues, but the full version does.
This was something we recently changed in the full version, so perhaps it hasn’t made it’s way into decaf yet.
The plugin is looking to the php.ini for the max_input_vars which is normally set at 1000. If it is not set (or if it’s at 1000) please make it higher, say 2500 and that should resolve the issue.
