Hello there,

Is it possible to use shortcodes in custom fields?

Thanks,

Spencer

I have had a go at pulling in an attendee list but am only getting the short code displayed.

Hi,

I don’t believe it is possible, not without customised code.

Have you considered just adding it to the description?

Hi Dean,

Yes, I think I will have to do it that way.

We won’t be managing the site down the line, so I was hoping to have as a little of the functionality exposed to the client as possible – I’m sure they will be alright, though 🙂

Cheers,

Spencer

No problem, and I understand how it can be with clients.

You could of course also modify the template and add in the shortcode directly via a do_shortcode. Bear in mind updates *may* affect it in the future, even if the file has been copied to the uploads/espresso/templates folder.
