I’m setting up an event registration and while single user registration works perfectly fine, I’m running into problems with groups. Users need to be able to register up to 5 guests for this event. Issues:

1) When a user adds additional attendees the price doesn’t change. The user needs to be charged an additional admission price when they add a guest.

2) Additional attendee info is not anywhere on either the confirmation or registration email. The guest questions load just fine on the registration form itself. Using Your questions: [custom_questions]. for the email.

3) Additional attendee info is not anywhere on the attendee list for the event.

Please help me sort this out!

I’ve narrowed it down some. The issue only occurs when the following conditions are met:

1)”Additional Attendee Registration info?” is set to “Full registration information”

2)”Event questions for additional attendees” Has checked only a single question group (“Guest Info” in my case which only has a field “Guest Name”)

It seems that EE3 doesn’t like it when additional attendees don’t have a First and Last Name.

I bypassed this by creating a question group “Name Details” which just contains first and last name and removed those fields from other groups.

The problem with this is that I can’t easily add an intro paragraph to ONLY the “Additional Attendees” question group because it has to start with “Name Details” which is shared with other question groups.

This means I have to do a workaround for a workaround for something as simple as inserting text mid-form, which seems pretty bad to me.

Please disregard the last part of my last post. The fields “First Name” and “Last Name” can be added to the additional attendees’ question group. It only functions incorrectly when an additional attendee does not have a First Name/Last name.

Scenario in point: If you only want to collect the age of a guest.

Thanks!

Hi,

Yes, “It seems that EE3 doesn’t like it when additional attendees don’t have a First and Last Name.”

EE must collect first & last names and email. Theses are the only absolutely required questions.

So you can’t collect just the Age, you would actually need first name, last name, email, age.
