Our records keep indicating one client is paying double when his processed payment through PayPal is registering one payment. Please help me stop this as they are receiving notifications making them think they have paid more than they have and it is affecting our business. Also, when I try to manually edit the amount of the payment, it switches to something else automatically.

Hello Chaz, Is this just occurring with one client? Are other clients paying for the same event having any issues? What version of Event Espresso and WordPress are you running, and have you updated anything recently? |
I’m having this same issue. I had a customer register for a $15 event and was charged $2,000 in PayPal! |
I hope the customer didn’t actually pay that amount. Please tell us what version of Event Espresso. |
They were refunded. The version we are using is 3.1.15.P. It’s strange because sometimes customers are charged this crazy increase and sometimes they aren’t in PayPal. So it’s hard to tell what’s going on. Any ideas? Thanks Seth |
Ya, that version may have some bugs. I would highly recommend updating. |

What is the latest version I should upgrade to? How can I? |
Latest version is 3.1.26. It looks like your support license is expired. You will need an active support license in order to upgrade. We have sent out several emails regarding updates and renewing your account. So maybe you are not getting the emails? |
I have not gotten these emails no. However, I don’t think I should have to pay for another upgrade license since this bug is rendering the plugin effectively useless! Please let me know if there is another way I can upgrade to a more current version.
@imcabee you are not paying for an upgrade license. You are paying for support and updates to the plugin. Since the plugin is open source under the GPL license. The plugin files are given to you as is, without warranty, with the purchase of a support license. I will send you the current version of the plugin, in it’s current state, this one time. But if you wish to receive future updates and support, you will need to have an active support license. Hope that helps. |
@Chaz Sounds like you need to update as well. Also, you will need an active support license to continue posting in this thread. I am moving it to the premium support forums. Thanks! |

See the attached pics: This registration has 6 attendees at $50 each. Total = $300, right? Well, the system says $600. They paid by check, so I marked them as Completed, and suddenly the system now says $900. The primary attendee received a notification of Completion and, understandably, freaked out. Furthermore, a $600 discrepancy in my total income for this event throws my accounting way off. Why can’t I edit the amount (shown in cap2.png)
I’m running WP version 3.4.2 & EE version 3.1.27.1.P |
We have been looking into the problem and fixing stuff over the last few weeks. We should have an update to fix this really soon. |
