What are the default roles & permissions in EE3? As a admin I would like to add a few managers (WP users with editor roles) to help out with adding events and invoice billing.
Do I need to buy additional add-ons for this or is there some default setting I’m overlooking?
Dean, just to be clear there isn’t any other way to give editors access to Event Espresso? Without one of these add-ons only administrators will have access? Is that correct?
Standard WP admins will have access to EE by default (I believe we check on the “manage_options” capability).
No other default roles will have access unless you change their capabilities which is not a recommended course of action as you will be giving them access to key parts of your site. If you trust someone enough for that, give them Admin rights.
You could probably set something up without these addons but it would require some extensive custom development – the addons would be cheaper in the long run.
The plugins add additional roles and capabilities making it easier to give specific users certain roles to enable them to use EE without having full access to the site.
Okay thanks Dean. I already bought the add-on and installed it. Works perfectly now. Again thanks!
