Hi,
Another question about EE system : is there some kind of system allowing developers to customize the templates (payment_page.php, etc.) in another place in order to keep it safe upon plugin updates later on ? This would work as a WordPress theme-child, a custom folder where some of the template files would be modified, without modifying the original ones ?
Is such a feature included / or at worst tweakable ?

Hi,
Yes we do have this feature. The template files (and gateway files) can be copied to the uploads/espresso/templates(or gateways) directory and modified there, though we recommend only copying the files you need.
When an update occurs these files will not be touched/deleted. However you may need to tweak the files to be in line with any modifications we have made to the default template/gateway files as these do change from time to time.
