Is it possible to make events the are only viewable to staff or permission based user roles? We have some events that only needed for staff training that we would not want the general public to see. Is there a way to set this up?
If your customers are not site registered users, then you could use the WP User Integration add on and create member only events. These events are only accessible to the logged in users.
You may need to do some template edits though as the events are still visible on the event list, just not actionable.
Thanks for the reply Dean. All customers/user will be registered users so I do not know if that will work. I suppose the events don’t need to be hidden but the registration access just needs to be denied for those who do not have the necessary training. Is there anyway to just restrict the registration and not hide the event?
Well the registration is hidden by default if you use WP User Integration, however because all of your users are registered and logged in it wont help as the add on doesnt differentiate between logged in users.
If you are using S2member, we have a beta add on that can be used to change the prices for different member levels but still it wont block registration.
It may be worthwhile to see if your membership plugin has a shortcode to block content (it should have) and add that to the events template to block off the form access.
