Hi Support,
Where can I find the organization_config.php file, to edit the currency list available to me? I would like to add (TTD) to the list.
Thanks

It’s in includes/organization_config.php, at line 59.

Hi Support, thanks for the response, I added the code below to the organisation_config.php file but I didn’t see any change in the list of available currencies.

case ‘TTD’ : $org_options[‘currency_symbol’] = ‘TTD$’; //Trinidad and Tobago Dollar
break;

I am not sure what else I need to do, can you advise?
thanks

Hi,

The Trinidad and Tobago ISO country code is TTO, not TTD. If you change that it will work.

Hi Support, thanks so here is the code now

case ‘TTO’ : $org_options[‘currency_symbol’] = ‘TTO’; //Trinidad and Tobago Dollar
break;

However I am still not seeing it in the drop down list, is there anything else I need to do? thanks

What list of available currencies are you referring to? In the gateway settings? Are you now seeing ‘TTO’ next to the Organization Country in the General Settings?

Hi Support,
Excuse my ignorance, I got it the general settings ok, but in the payment gateway settings under Paypal which I setup I am not seeing (TTO) as an option, USD is the default and as a result payments are being taken in USD can this be modified?
Thanks

Hi Support, also can you say whether you have other Event Espresso customers from Trinidad and Tobago? thanks

We have not added TTO to the currency list in the paypal settings because it is not a currency supported by Paypal: https://developer.paypal.com/docs/classic/api/currency_codes/. So even if you add it into gateways/paypal/settings.php, it will not work.

Hi Support, thanks for the response, so basically there is no value to me changing the config file to TTO as I am not able to accept TTO through Paypal right? I should just probably state on my website that all prices are based in US currency?

Hi,

Yes thats correct. While you can change the currency in EE to $TT, if PayPal don’t accept that as a currency then it does seem a little pointless to change it over, you may as well stay with $USD.

“can you say whether you have other Event Espresso customers from Trinidad and Tobago”

I haven’t come across any personally, but we have a worldwide customer base so it is possible.
