We are unable to get the Event Calendar to show up on our website. We installed the new plug-in and inserted the short code in a new page and nothing shows up. It appear from other Forum entries that this is a common problem. None of the solutions mentioned in the Forum work for us. Please advise. Thanks.

Hi Larry,

I looked at your Kenya site and I believe the issue lies with jQuery, specifically the fact that your site is loading 3 versions of it.

Loading more than one version of jQuery is bad for any theme or plugin that uses jQuery as jQuery will not function correctly when multiple instances are loaded.

jQuery version 1.4.2 is being loaded by the jQuery Slider For Featured Content plugin

jQuery version 1.4.3 is being loaded from Google by an unknown plugin or the theme.

jQuery version 1.11.1 is (CORRECTLY) being loaded by WordPress.

Ideally you want a single version of jQuery to load, ideally the one that ships with WordPress (1.11.1 as of WP 4.1.1).

To resolve this:

Disable the Query Slider For Featured Content plugin to start with.

Then it’s a case of tracking down what plugin or if your theme is loading the 1.4.3 version
